Our Teachers

Angela – Teacher
Bachelor of Early Education 1996
From Angela: “I really love being part of Evesham Road Kindergarten and being a local girl, it’s fabulous to see all our families out in the community and being able to watch everyone grow up.
I really value the importance of play in children’s learning and making strong connections with the children and families. I strive to make learning fun and at times a little bit silly.
I believe Kinder is a very magical place, and I am very lucky to watch the magic happen as the children grow, develop, make discoveries and become ready for their next learning adventure.”

Anthia – Teacher
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Deakin University
From Anthia: “My name is Anthia Demirci and I am so excited to be joining the team at Evesham Road Kindergarten as the four-year-old kindergarten teacher in the Wattle group.
To tell you a little bit about myself – In 2018 I completed a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Deakin University and am going into my fifth year of teaching. I chose the Early Childhood sector as it is very rewarding to be able to watch children learn at their own pace, develop, grow and become independent learners.
My goal is to prepare children for a bright future and a smooth transition into primary school, making sure all children feel comfortable and confident moving into the next chapter of their lives.
When I am not working, I enjoy taking part in dance fitness classes, going for walks along the beach and spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to meeting you all and working in collaboration with you to best support your child.”

Doris – Teacher
Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) 2018
From Doris: “Hi families, my name is Doris and I am the teacher for Bottlebrush Group. I have been working in early childhood for six years and hold a Master’s Degree from the University of Melbourne. It is my passion to build positive relationships with children, provide children with play-based programme to support their learning while having fun, and give children the agency to make decisions for themselves whenever possible.
I enjoy making and sharing food with families and friends, and also with children. Hopefully, in the future, I can open up my own Chinese bakery and organize parent-child baking workshops for families to have fun and learn about Chinese pastry. I am looking forward to making lots of yummy food with all the children.”

Flora – Teacher
From Flora: “I believe every child is a unique and active learner. With different kinds of inclusive, meaningful and fun experiences in kindergarten, children develop their skills and form solid foundations for lifelong learning, well-being and health.
As an early childhood teacher, I am passionate about providing play-based and high-quality programs in a safe and engaging environment to explore the world with children, supporting and facilitating their learning and development.”

Niki – Teacher
From Niki: “My name is Niki Floros and I will be the Fern Group teacher in 2023. I am very excited to join the Evesham Road Kindergarten teaching team this year. I have been working in an Early Leaning Centre for the past 13 years, taking time away to have my three beautiful children.
As a teacher I value the importance of children’s play and encourage our children to have fun in developing meaningful learning experiences. I believe that by providing support and warmth, children feel free to grow in an environment which promotes their health and nurtures their wellbeing.”
Our Co-Educators

Bec – Co-Educator
From Bec: “Early childhood education is fundamental for children’s journey into adulthood. I believe all children should have access to creating respectful relationships and participate in inclusive, meaningful and educational learning experiences.
As an Educator, I advocate for children to be heard and will speak up for children when they cannot speak for themselves.
I am passionate about creating engaging activities that facilitate children’s development and learning. Children’s wellbeing is always at the forefront of my mind, so children are able to explore their world and environment safely.”

Clouie – Co-Educator
From Clouie: “My name is Clouie Degamo and I hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. I have been working in the industry for more than 5 years now and my favourite things about working with children is that no days are ever the same.
Children offer a new perspective as they see the world so differently and they remind us to see the fun and joy in everything.
I am so excited to be in the Fern group this year working alongside Niki to support and guide the children throughout their learning journey here at Evesham Road Kinder.”

Diana – Co-Educator

I will support children to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. Also helping them to learn and embrace the differences between us.””

Maggie – Co-Educator
Certificate III in Children’s Services 2014
From Maggie: “Hello my name is Maggie and I’m the Educator for Banksia group this year.
I am a mum of two boys and one girl. I enjoy spending time with my family, doing yoga, going on walks and working on a puzzle or two!
Kindergarten is a special time in a child’s life, it’s a place where children explore and express their creativity, gain social skills, build confidence, make friends and connect with their world through play and experiences.
I enjoy the connections I make with the children and their families. And the most amazing part is watching their development from the beginning of the year to the end!”
